warezclient apparently isn't really as safe as was claimed.

I downloaded the program mentioned above, because my winmx has been giving me trouble lately, and I had heard that Warezclient is a safe program.
However, when I went to install the software, I didn't get the software that the person who posted the topic about this program mentioned accept for the patch, which it said I didn't need because I wasn't runnint SP2, which was fine. However, I got something called new-net, or something along those lines, which I didn't want to install, but I had to install it or not install the program at all.
So as a result, when I installed it, the next thing I knew I ended up with a trojan horse virus that I hope to God I finally got rid of, had to reinstall Jaws, because it wouldn't work properly after installing everything, and I can do nothing with the program itself because it times out after a minutte or so.
So, apparently this program isn't really as safe as the creaters of it would like for us to believe it to be; I just didn't think I'd have an experience like this.

I had New-Net at one time. I think it's some form of spyware. It took me a while to get rid of it.

I don't have much luck with WinMX either. I use Ares Lite, but it isn't all that great. It takes ages to connect, and it's getting harder and harder to find what you want. I've also used BitTorrent, but I've got to be extremely careful with that one.

Warez anything is filled with SpyWare and viruses and the like. That's what Warez essentially stands for. I've never seen any Warez software or site that didn't try to trick you into subscribing to porn or giving away your credit card info to a gamling web site etc, be very careful if the word Warezis in the title of any app that is recommended or you are considering downloading.

That happened to me, also, though I'm not sure if it was Warez or something else that caused the virus on my computer :)

Uh Oh and I can't believe you didn't do a norton scan or spyware scan first before installing. Thats exactly what I do. Ever since I had to reformat last month I scan first before I install.

Furthermore, the tech guy told me about this when he was doing some scans. A client of his called and asked for a type of spyware program because the client thought that his wife was cheating on him and his daughter was doing stuff online with online friends that he didn't approve of. And I remember my friend the techie mentioned about the program.
